Sample Scheduling : Ability to set up test schedules for clients and sample points which helps create a defined weekly/monthly/annual test schedule. It helps the lab understand which samples are due in the upcoming month/quarter to plan the workloads accordingly.

Scheduled tests/samples can be easily booked in without a lengthy booking in process.

Pre logon Samples : Samples can be booked in advance through a web portal by consultants or customers. This notifies the lab of the expected samples and also records the sample collection date to track sample validity.

Sample Booking : Sample Booking allows users to book in samples against multiple tests. This process is extremely flexible. Test methods are pre-configured and associated with the sample type for quick processing.

Expired Samples : Segregation of samples from job packs where the validity period has expired. This ensures there are no invalid/expired samples processed in Lab.

Expired samples can be rebooked either by authorised users or when a fresh sample is received.

Receive in Lab : Receive samples in a rapid error-free manner. The built-in test durations calculate the time needed to complete the tests on the work list and provide the estimated completion date as applicable for each batch/test/sample.

Work Assignment : Depending on laboratory-specific business rules, tasks can be allocated to workstations. Within these workstations, authorised analysts, consultants and other rules can be configured.

Sample Reassignment : Samples can be transferred between different analysts. This allows for speedy processing of samples while maintaining a full audit trail of sample testing activity.

Test and Formulae Authoring Wizard : 
The Test and Formulae authoring wizard enables administrators to:
Create / edit and configure tests and the associated results for each test.
Map different sample types, instruments, consumables, training needs and reviewers to the tests
Create formulae validation & reporting limits for each result.
Create Guidelines limits & 3rd Party standards.
Create screens, steps and mandatory parameters to evaluate the samples on a stage by stage basis. This ensures that only samples which are within parameters are processed. The screens are easily configured to reflect the specific test workflow and the information that needs to be captured.

Result Entry : The result entry process for the analyst works in the form of a step-by-step wizard guide which gives all the necessary details at each stage of result processing. This process ensures compliance to specified standards of testing and also strict compliance to test parameters. 

All validations are instantaneous without requiring a manual or a lengthy review process. All alerts and notes are stored in the test audit log for the purpose of quality audits. 

Review & Approval : Once the results are entered, e-mail alerts are sent to designated approvers notifying them of the status of the tests. Workstation specific business rules allow for configuration of electronic signatures for test certificates.

Expert Review * : A unique feature of the BizLIMS system is the ability for the system to monitor analyst training record validity and ensure that only certified and authorised analysts are allowed access to the tests. If at any given point in time, even if a trained analyst has a expired training certificate then the system automatically forwards these tests to the available trained analysts for review and approval.

Administration :

Multi Lab Capability : Being a true web-based system, the system allows for multiple labs (sites) to share the same processes and procedures through a webpage whilst maintaining the links with their location specific instruments, consumables and analysts.

Workstation Management :  Authorised Signatories, Contractors, Staff, Consultants and other rules can be defined on workstation basis. Tests can then be grouped under these workstations for better reporting and management of samples.

Instrument Management : Different categories and list of instruments can be created and stored in the system. Instrument related calibration, maintenance and other QC cycle can also be managed.

Reports and Queries : BIZLIMS uses SQL Server Reporting Services, an industry standard reporting tool offering complete flexibility in report design and layout. Asynchronous Reporting using SSRS reduces the load on the database and server resources. Complete flexibility to export to MS Office applications.

Customer Portal : An online portal is available for clients to view their test results, certificates, schedules and sample history. Ability to generate charts and export data & reports to PDF documents.

Barcode – RFID integration : The software can be integrated with Barcode or RFID devices based on user requirement.
